MY “SHIFT TO HAPPY” MEDITATION

Today I offer you a very beautiful and peaceful guided reading meditation that is meant to help you get in touch with the positive and happy side of life. Leaving you feeling grateful, refreshed, inspired, full of life and full of love. — The future belongs to those who believe that beauty and happiness comes from within.

My meditation practice is based on words, music and visualization — I’m a strong believer that these 3 are  powerful tools in manifesting the lives we desire.

We’ll start with some words, then some breathing practices, a little visualization, then back to our breathing, and then we’ll close with a wonderful song that I feel is very fitting for this special time we have together.

I start by offering you the beautiful words Gaudi offered the world —

“I offer you peace. I offer you love. I offer you friendship. I see your beauty. I hear your need. I feel your feelings. My wisdom flows from the highest source. I solute that source in you. Let us work together…

Keep your thoughts positive because your thoughts become your words. Keep your words positive because your words become your behavior. Keep your behavior positive because your behavior becomes your habits. Keep your habits positive because your habits become your values. Keep your values positive because your values become your destiny.” ~ Mahatma Gandhi

 

Drawing our attention to our breathe

Breathing in — say to yourself PRESENT MOMENT

Breathing out —say to yourself WONDERFUL MOMENT

Present moment, wonderful moment.

 

Bring your attention to your face. Are you holding any tension in your jaw, behind your eyes or in your forehead? If so, allow those areas to soften and relax. Allow your lips and cheeks to relax and begin to form a smile. You may like to think of something amusing or simply the love you have for your family or friends. Simply focus on whatever brings up a happy memory or feeling.

If you are holding any tension in any part of your body, allow your smile to soften that area now. Allow the muscles to soften and relax. Stay as long as you need at each area of your body, until you relax fully. When you have finished relaxing one tight area, move onto the next area that is tight and tense. Smile into the muscles and allow them to relax.

 

The following are some positive affirmations to help you feel happier throughout your day.


– I am happy and relaxed despite my external circumstances.

– I find it easy to be happy and smile often.
– I am responsible for my own happiness.
– Happiness comes easily to me.
– When I smile, the whole world smiles with me.


Now bring your awareness back to your face. Are you feeling happier and lighter?

Happiness is found in the present moment by dwelling peacefully in the here and now.

Don’t worry about tomorrow, tomorrow will take care of itself.

If the present moment has peace, joy and happiness — then the future will also.

We must understand and find peace in the fact that there is no happiness without suffering — when we understand that we need the mud to grow the lotus – it will bring peace and happiness in abundance.

Happiness and suffering inter-are just as without the left hand there would be no right hand.

You cannot grow a lotus on marble — you have to grow it on the mud. So suffering is the kind of mud that we must be able to use in order to grow the flower of understanding and love — happiness.

 

Breathing in I calm my body.

Breathing out I smile.

 

A smile is so simple yet so powerful. A smile can change your state of being in an instant. A smile has the force to bring happiness to not only yourself but to every life you encounter. Smile often.

Dwelling in this present moment — I know this is a wonderful moment.

 

Breathing in — PRESENT MOMENT

Breathing out — WONDERFUL MOMENT

 

Bring your awesomeness to the palms of your hands — feel the energy as you bring them slowly to cover your heart, one on top of the other — feel your heart beat — feel the energy and power and love and compassion with each beat — think of what an amazing gift it is to be able to feel each beat — you’re alive — you’re powerful — you’re beautiful — you’re so strong.

 

Now think of the billions of living beings on this magnificent planet — all with beautiful, strong beating hearts — think of all the energy those billions of hearts are creating — real energy — our hearts are so powerful — so strong — and hold so much beauty. Our hearts have the incredible power to create happiness and joy — for ourselves and for others.

 

Quick — stop all those thoughts.

 

Visualize yourself in an open field — blue skies above with gorgeous white cotton ball clouds scattered about — you begin to run — faster and faster and faster — you’re running through a field of green plants — there are beautiful green, velvet like plants everywhere and as you run through the green plants, sunflower blossoms begin to open on all the plants — beautiful giant sunflowers popping open with every leap forward — your running and running — you begin to see blue water — you see waves breaking — it’s the ocean — you stop. To the right on the sand you see this unusual small carved wooden box — you bend down and open the lid — your amazed at what you see inside — it’s an envelope with your name hand written on it in the most stunning hand writing — you pick up the envelope and open it — you pull out a card and begin to read the hand written note.

 

IT SAYS —

Fill your days with a sense of magic. Dream a beautiful dream. Live in glamorous wonderment. Elevate your body’s vibrations. Cultivate a giving heart. Awaken with passionate gratitude. Dance a brilliant madness. Float in peaceful confidence. Read an inspirational book. Kiss someone who thinks your fabulous. And don’t forget to Create…write, paint, draw, sing or build. Find your authenticity and Live as only you know how… grow… learn…love…be happy…and blossom in the full expression of your magnificent design. You are strong-you are beautiful-and you have the power within to be happy in the here and now.

To me it’s simple. To be happy is to be free. Happiness is a choice. When I woke up this morning I made a conscious decision…I said to myself…today is going to be an awesome day, I’m so grateful to be alive, I’m so thankful I’m breathing…I’m so happy to be me. I’m a miracle that was created to do amazing things. I was created for a special purpose and today I’m moving forward in gratitude and happiness…on a mission to fulfill that purpose in the fullness of  love.

— I see beauty in the trees, I see love in the birds, I see joy in the sky, I see peace in the grass, I see grace in the rain, I see happiness in me…and I see me in you.
