My Favorite, Go-To Vegan Handbags

Come along with Katarina Van Derham as she shows us her favorite vegan handbags!

Vegan or cruelty-free, fashion is on the rise. I hear a lot of people who are making the conversion to conscience consumerism say that they most difficult thing to pull away from is their leather handbags. But did you know there are brands out there doing an excellent job at bringing great design, style, and practicality to fashion, while keeping us guilt-free? I am going to share with you some of my favorite, go-to, vegan handbags. There are some very wonderful options in this new world of fashion opening up to us.  You will not miss those old handbags made of animals one bit!

After all, non-animal textiles have come along way in the past few years. Non-animal leathers used to be stiff and not as breathable as traditional leather. However, today’s faux leathers can rival animal leather in texture, softness and overall feel. There are leathers made from pineapples, mushrooms and synthetic fibers. There are even leathers made from cork and sea kelp! These textiles are as durable and long lasting as traditional leather. And with so many alternatives to choose from, there is no need for animal leathers any more.

Today, many top name designers are no longer using not only animal fur, but also leather. Instead, they are recognizing luxury, non-animal leather and are incorporating it into fashionable clothing and accessories. I no longer purchase traditional leather items such as shoes, belts and handbags. I don’t feel that animal leather is of better quality anymore. And I love the designs featured on these purses. I believe you don’t have to sacrifice quality or style when going cruelty-free. Here are some of my favorite go-to, vegan handbags and I hope they will become yours too!
