What Do Men Really Think of Your Pubes?

It is perhaps a question that many women may wonder, but few will actually ask: “What do men really think of your pubic hair?”

After all, it is probably rare that a man will actually refuse an opportunity to sleep with you because your pubic style is not his favorite. But if asked candidly, what do men actually prefer?

In a recent study, researchers asked 1,110 college-aged men and women how they liked their pubic hair. It turned out that 95% had groomed themselves in some way within the past month. Half of the women were completely hair-free and so were one in five men. 60% of the men surveyed liked their partners to be completely hair-free. Only 5% of the entire population surveyed did no grooming at all.

Men’s magazines went from full bush in the 1970s and early 80s to no hair by the mid 1990s. This was a trend set by pornography that saw women with full pubic hair in the 1970s to cleanly shaven 15 years later.

David, 35, said he liked the completely shaven look because you can see more of a woman’s genitalia. Therefore, he finds it more “sexy”. But we also spoke to Kevin, 54, who still preferred the full bush look. He said it reminded him of when he first saw a naked vagina in the 1970s when pubic hair was popular. He said he “keyed in” to this look and a woman with no pubic hair looks infantile to him. Richard, 56, also said that he found no pubic hair prepubescent and therefore not a turn on. He said a full bush represented womanhood to him and he was sexually aroused by it. Men in their 20s, however, seemed to prefer the no hair, if little, look. Ryan, 23, said he is not interested in a lot of pubic hair and is disgusted by it.

Ultimately, the choice is yours. Whether you choose to be completely hair-free or with pubic hair, your man should appreciate and love your body however you choose to manicure the lawn!
