Los Angeles Police is officially investigating rape allegations against British actor Ed Westwick made by actress Kristina Cohen after she claimed in a social media post that she was abused by the “Gossip Girl” star.
LAPD said that Cohen filed a police report, “Cohen came into the Hollywood police station to file a police report for sexual assault,” the LAPD office confirmed. “Suspect is named as Ed Westwick. The investigation is ongoing.”
Cohen alleged in a Facebook post published on Monday, November 6, that the actor had sexually assaulted her at his apartment three years ago. According to the actress, she was “dating a producer” who was friends with Westwick at the time of the incident three years ago.
It was during a visit to Westwick’s apartment with the producer, when Cohen claims that the actor suggested ‘we should all f–k.’ Both actress and producer refused but Westwick insisted the couple stay for dinner.
“I said I was tired and wanted to leave, trying to get out of what was already an uncomfortable situation. Ed suggested I nap in the guest bedroom,” Cohen wrote.
The actress recalls that she fell asleep only to be “woken up abruptly by Ed”, on top of her with his fingers entering her body. “I told him to stop, but he was strong. I fought him off as hard as I could but he grabbed my face in his hands, shaking me, telling me he wanted to f–k me. I was paralyzed, terrified. I couldn’t speak, I could no longer move. He held me down and raped me.”
Cohen didn’t revealed the name of the producer, but she says that he blamed and pressured her to stay quiet, but she was “coming forward” after a huge number of people made sexual abuse allegations against Hollywood heavyweights such as Oscar winner Kevin Spacey, film producer Harvey Weinstein and more.
Westwick denied the allegations via social media, writing, “I do not know this woman. I have never forced myself in any manner, on any woman. I certainly have never committed rape.”
