What is the trendiest food on Instagram right now? Well, believe it or not, it is a bright blue superfood called Blue Majik!

Blue Majik has taken social media by storm with fans posting brightly colored images of meals made with this superfood. By adding this powder into foods, it turns them magically bright blue! Fans have been adding it to everything from acai bowls and cakes to cookies and donuts!

Blue Majik is an extract of spirulina (a bacteria) and is chemical-free. It is full of nutrients, vitamins, enzymes, and minerals. As a result, it is said to have a lot of health benefits, although many question just how healthy it is. The reason why is because there have not been long term tests done on this superfood to gauge the validity of these claims. But for now, fans just can’t get enough of this bright blue powder!

Also on the downside, it has been said that Blue Majik powder has a “fishy” taste, but this can be masked in the food it is put into. For some fans, the fishy taste is very strong, but for other, not so much.

The vibrant blue color comes from C-phycocyanin, a protein that is rich in amino acids, antioxidants, and anti-inflammatory properties. It has also been said that it helps in overall brain function and health.
