Okay, okay so maybe your actual high school varsity baseball jacket isn’t appropriate, but a take on the old classic is back in style for A/W 2013. The classic jacket has a sleek new look featuring everything from leather sleeves and contrast patterns to crazy colors. The fit is slimmer than you remember in high school so keep this in mind when shopping. Wear it to the local bar or BBQ or dress it up with a skinny tie and a fitted white collared shirt and jeans. This versatile and wallet friendly jacket is sure to take you on a walk down memory lane!!

My passion and love for fashion and all things femme started at a very young age. Of course young girls always have someone to look up to growing up and for me (as silly as it may sound) it was my grandmother! I’m telling you this woman was the ultimate fashionista. So much in fact that I still have on at least one piece of hers on everytime I leave the house. You’ll come to notice that I have an endless passion for all things vintage and now you’ll understand why! My fashion sense and style was also heavily influenced by the years of modeling I did in my teens growing up. I frequented NYC and also travelled to Japan to pursue a career in the industry. Although I eventually chose academia over the glamour of the modeling industry the fashion tips and advice that I took away from that industry are invaluable. That brings me to where I am today! A recent graduate of The Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in LA, I am currently working on my swimwear line “Lela Pearce” and writing for my personal blog Blonde and Hound as well as contributing as Fashion Editor for Viva Glam Magazine! I am very excited and honored to be sharing my personal fashion advice, tips, and picks with you through Viva Glam Magazine. In the words of the infamous Coco Chanel, “Fashion fades, only style remains the same”. I hope Viva Glam Magazine can help encourage new looks and ideas for your personal style!
