The game of polo, which has been around since the 1800's, was considered a sport fit for kings. A sport popularized by the British, it has now been reintroduced as a fashion icon for fall as models trollop down the runways covered from head to hoof in equestrian gear, showcasing designer collections.

This season it's all about beautiful riding boots, fitted blazers, leather accessories and the sleek back "ponytails".

This isn't just any ponytail, it is a slicked back, perfected, seamlessly straight, glamourous ponytail! 

As much as I love trends, I love the designers that keep it wearable for day-to-day life. In the fashion race for best in show, the winners are Victoria Beckham and Herve Leger!

Victoria Beckham has showcased simplistic equestrian classic cuts and styles for fall. I Love the double wrapped skinny belt, as it creates such a flattering figure for all body types. Riding boots paired with a slim cut dress gives a pretty but tough feel for fall.

Herve Leger, by Max Azria, harnessed up their show ponies in equestrian style like no other this season.

Street style: Try some of these Ralph Lauren pieces below for an every day look. Simply add some equine accessories to your favorite legging and basic T or a skinny belt paired with lush riding gloves. If you want to just wear riding boots, combine it with a beige pant and a white polo-shirt or maybe just a pinch of style with a cool riding cap!
