OUTFIT OF THE MONTH - October 2012

Fall has officially begun...the leaves are falling, the weather is cooling down and your boots are ready to make their Fall debut! For this month we've put together a cozy little ensemble that let's you take advantage of the last little bit of warmth left while transitioning into cooler Fall weather. As you know by now, we here at Viva Glam Magazine love bohemian, vintage and throwback looks and for this outfit we've drawn inspiration from the 70's. Our model is wearing a hooded knit sweater dress by Free People. The poncho style of the sweater dress is not only super cute, but is also extremely comfortable and versatile (layer it with a skirt, jeans or leggings for a totally different look). These poncho style sweaters and dresses are easy to find right now....just do a little google search and you'll pull them up with ease! We've added knee high socks and lace-up leather boots to balance out the outfit and kept just a little peek-a-boo of leg showing to break up the line between the dress and the boots.  We added a long gold-tone and turquoise pendant necklace, a red corral bracelet and two oversized indian style stone rings to accent the pattern in the dress. Notice how all the colors are in the same general color family, yet nothing matches exactly. Be perfectly imperfect by never being too matchy matchy! Give this outfit a try....it will be an easy and comfy Fall go-to!
