OUTFIT OF THE MONTH - August 2012

Happy summer everybody!! This month we have a great outfit that has a little European/Kate Moss/Hipster-ish flare to it. That was a mouthful! Sheesh! This is one of my personal favorite outfits we've put together. I love the simplicity of it! We've started with a super cool t-shirt dress by designer and stylist Nina Morgan-Jones. Morgan-Jones style is inspired by film noir glamour and 1960's London....perfect for us here at Viva Glam Magazine!! We wanted to use the shirt dress, which has a beautiful black and white picture of Brigitte Bardot, as the focal point for the outfit. In order to make the image pop we had to choose our accessories wisely as not to over power the dress. We broke up the shirt with a thick black belt. This not only frames the picture on the shirt but also helps accent Katarina's beautiful figure. In addition to the belt we added a small brimmed hat, simple sterling earrlings and layed a few sterling cuff bracelets on one arm and added an amazing stone and sterling bracelet to the other arm. The shoes are fun open-toed belted cuff booties. Don't be afraid to mix your silver and gold on this outfit! If you notice the earrings and bracelets are silver but the belt on the boots has gold in it. It's okay to do! The simple black and white in the outfit leave room for layering the two (gold and silver). This is a tres-chic summer outfit fit for a day of shopping in London-town. It should be easy to duplicate!
