Woman are such powerful human beings but all that power can sometimes throw us off kilter.

We experience more changes than men with our “moon cycles” and all that it encompasses. Our feminine instincts and sensitivities can go haywire if we don’t find balance and peace with all that is expected of us and, most importantly, all we expect from ourselves.

Here are a few of what I call “goddess cures” that I have found to help with the changes that only woman and the moon experience together.

Daikon hip bath

Daikon baths are great for a woman’s reproductive organs and helps draw out excess fat and oil from the body. In addition, it aids in extracting body odors caused by too much animal foods; therefore it is great for skin problems and helps maintain your beautiful goddess glow!  You can buy a daikon hip bath already packaged or you can dry out your own daikon leaves. You will boil the daikon leaves and simmer with one cup of sea salt until the water is brown, then strain and add to the tub. Fill the tub waist high and cover your upper body with a towel. Keep the water as hot as possible to induce perspiration. Stay in the tub for 10 to 20 minutes and be sure to keep yourself warm after getting out. This is best to do before bed but also at least an hour after you have eaten. Take your time getting out of the tub as you may feel a little light-headed from the heat and release of toxins. Drink some water if needed.

Note: Refrain from this bath when you are on your cycle and always consult your medical practitioner before starting any new treatment.

Raspberry Leaf Tea

Women have used raspberry leaf for centuries. It supports healthy menstruation and helps ease the difficulties that can come with female cycles. It also purifies the blood and helps to strengthen and tone the uterus, so sip away!

Note: This tea is especially great to drink a week before your “moon cycle” to help prepare the womb for childbirth.

Dr. Schultz Female Formula

This stuff is a magic potion for any woman dealing with premenstrual issues or going through menopause. It reduces the stresses that women have during these changes and regulates the body chemistry. I am personally amazed with this magical tincture. If I feel more hormonal, I rely on this to help ease my emotions.

Homemade Douche

Douching is used to help eliminate stagnated mucus and fat in the uterus and vagina. This is a great step to add to any yearly cleanse regimen that you do. It is great to do in conjunction with your hip bath and is usually recommended after intercourse. To make, use one quart of  body temperature bancha tea. Add 4 to 5 pinches of sea salt, the juice of 1/2 lemon, or 2 teaspoons of brown rice vinegar or umeboshi vinegar.  Stir and pour into douche bottle.

Note: I would not recommend douching to be done often unless you have health issues and it is part of your detoxing to heal the body.

The Golden Secrets Essential Oil

Essential oils have been used since ancient times to help cultivate a peace of mind by releasing negative energy and promoting a positive one. The Golden Secrets Essential Oil is my signature blend of oils that I have been personally wearing for years. The most magical thing about it is it’s an adaptogen, so it not only adapts to your own body chemistry creating your own signature scent, but it also emotionally and spiritually adapts to what you need at each given moment – making it a magical tool for the ebbs and flows of a woman’s life.

The next time you’re feeling out of balance, try one of these goddess cures. I hope it brings you balance.
