Dani Mather’s victim came forward.
You might remember the story of Dani Mathers, Playboy Playmate of the Year 2015, who used Snapchat to photograph an unclothed woman at her gym back in July. Mather’s wrote a caption underneath the photo, “If I can’t unsee this, then you can’t either.” This story went viral in July 2016.
Mathers later said she posted the image by “accident” and it was meant for a private conversation between she and a friend only. This sparked outrage and LA Fitness, the gym where Mathers took the image, banned her for life. Executive Vice President of LA Fitness, Jill Greuling, called Mathers’ behavior “appalling”.
Until now, police were unable to move forward with criminal charges because the victim was not yet identified. The victim also had to come forward and agree to press charges against Mathers. Sources now say that the woman, reportedly in her 70s, has been identified and is willing to testify against Mathers for “dissemination of private images”. This charge is a misdemeanor, but can carry a sentence of up to six months in prison. Mathers is reportedly represented by attorney, Tom Mesereau, known for the 2005 Michael Jackson child molestation case.
What do you think? Should Dani Mathers face jail time for her actions?
