Brad Pitt Bid $120,000 to Watch Game of Thrones With Emilia Clarke

Brad Pitt was ready to give out an impressive amount to watch Game of Thrones with the Mother of Dragons herself, Emilia Clarke.

The War Machine actor, made the big bid while attending the Sean Penn J/P HRO Gala: A Gala Dinner to Benefit J/P Haitian Relief Organization at Milk Studios in Los Angeles on Saturday, January 6.

The Oscar nominee actor and producer was talking and laughing with other famous attendees — including Amazon’s Jeff Bezos and Bryan Lourd — but got really excited  in the auction when it was announced the chance to watch Game of Thrones with Clarke, who plays Daenerys Targaryen on the Emmy winning series.

“During the first auction, Brad was on his phone. When the auction announced Emilia Clarke, they called her out in the crowd and Brad literally turned his whole neck to find and look at her and enthusiastically clap,” said a source that attended the event. “He offered $80,000 in the auction to watch Game of Thrones with Emilia.”

“Emilia was covering her mouth and giggling. Leo [DiCaprio] enthusiastically watched the whole auction, turning his head back and forth between Brad and Emilia,” added the source. “[Pitt] later offered $120,000 and raised his arms in excitement but was out at 150,000. He laughed hysterically when he gave up and they called him out for it.”

Ultimately, the winner was another bidder who gave out $160,000 to watch an episode with the actress and her co-star, Kit Harington, who was also in attendance.

Nonetheless, Pitt didn’t walk away empty-handed. For $40,000, the “12 Years a Slave” producer won an NBA weekend experience with the San Antonio Spurs that include tickets to a game, a ride on the team’s plane and more VIP seats to the team’s practice and game in Texas.

Meanwhile, the Emmy nominated actress and fellow attendee, Oscar winner Leonardo DiCaprio, got into a brief bidding war when they both went for the same painting. However, after bidding $80,000 and $90,000 respectively for a Josh Smith piece, another painting was brought out for auction and the two stars each took home one of the artworks—each with an $80,000 price tag.

“Brad sat through the entire night having a great time and stayed for James Taylor’s performance. Brad was thoroughly enjoying it at his table. He was bopping his head to each song including’You’ve Got a Friend,'” a source described. “He seemed to be totally relaxed all night and always surrounded by friends.”

It was recently announced that the final season of Game of Thrones will not be back until 2019 and will only be 6 episodes long.
