Bella Thorne Shares Tearful Video After Sexual Abuse Revelation

Bella Thorne is thankful for the deluge of online support that she has received after revealing that she was sexually abused as a child.

“I’m on Twitter reading about all the people sharing your sexual abuse stories with me from mine and I just want to say I’m really proud of all you guys,” she said through tears in a Instagram story. “I’m really proud.”

Bella continued, “Stay strong. Peace. I love you guys.” The former Disney Channel star opened up in light of the Time’s Up movement, and revealed on Sunday, January 7, her past sexual abuse.

“I was sexually abused and physically growing up from the day I can remember till I was 14..when I finally had the courage to lock my door at night and sit by it. All damn night. Waiting for someone to take advantage of my life again. Over and over I waited for it to stop and finally it did. But some of us aren’t as lucky to get out alive. Please today stand up for every soul Mistreated. #timesup,” Thorne wrote on Instagram.

Thorne rose to stardom on Disney’s “Shake It Up” with Zendaya from 2010 to 2013. Later on the actress took on adult roles such as Paige on Freeform’s “Famous in Love” and the 2015 teen movie “The Duff”.

“I never knew what was right or wrong growing up..I didn’t know the person sneaking into my bed room at night was a bad person. #timesup,” Thorne wrote on twitter on Sunday.

The “Amityville” star briefly addressed her childhood abuse back in December.
In response to a photo of Thorne dressed in a purple suit, a Twitter user wrote, “What did Disney do to this girl?! I think she was molested?”

“Yeah I was. So it wasn’t Disney,” Thorne replied, adding in another tweet, “The world can be a sick place sometimes :/.”

Since she revealed her painful experience, the former child star receiv support from her followers, but some users questioned her story.
Nevertheless, Bella defend herself “The fact that I have to explain myself,” she wrote. “Trust me I knew him I saw his f.Æking face every single time don’t think I’ll ever forget a part of him.”

Thorne also said that she hoped that more victims can feel comfortable talking about their situation.

“What about all the people that don’t have an outlet like this to speak on. Are they being heard??” she wrote to her fans.
