Ava Allan on her YouTube Channel, Acting, and Charity
Five years ago, 11-year-old Ava Allan was already a strong up-and-coming model/actress. She had a role on Nickelodeon’s True Jackson, VP, and modeled for Disney, PacSun, Tilly’s, and Justice. But she realized she was lacking a connection with her fans, and her YouTube channel was born. Now, she’s 16-years-old and has almost 400K subscribers.
Ava Allan is admired by teenagers everywhere for her stunning beauty, her sense of style, and her lifestyle advice. But besides the obvious, she’s also passionate about LGBT rights, anti-bullying campaigns, and works with the Best Friend’s Animal Society.
Ava told us about how her channel came to, what roles we can see her in next, and about her charity work. Unlike many Instagrammers that are just a pretty face, we’re so happy she’s so much more. She’s an overall great role model that we hope you follow!
What made you want to start a YouTube channel?
My Youtube Channel was created to get a better connection with my fans! I had a following on Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, etc, and I thought if I created a channel, people would get to know me better and not just the characters I play in films/on TV!
What was your original mission with your channel? Has your mission with your YouTube channel changed as you’ve gained fans?
My channel was created just to be a place where people could get to know me! As I gained followers, I noticed what types of videos did better than others so I kept continuing the more ‘liked’ videos like fashion, Q&As, routines, etc.
