Squiggle eyebrows take social media by storm!
For the past few years, eyebrows have taken center stage when it comes to beauty. They have become thicker, bolder, and stronger than ever before. And you might remember eyebrow maven Anastasia saying that the eyebrows are the frames of the face. Indeed, your eyebrows can either make or break your look depending on how you create them.
Brows too thin can make your face look weak. Brows that are drawn in too thick make you look harsh and severe. Brows drawn too dark make you look like you have tattoo eyebrows! So there are all sorts of ways you can incorrectly draw your eyebrows!
You might even remember earlier this year feather eyebrows, dragon brows, and barbed wire brows! These became the rage if only for a short amount of time. Feather brows were actually posted initially as a joke on social media and then took off as an actual trend!
Now it seems, the latest eyebrow trend to capture our attentions is squiggle brows!
Makeup artists are going away from the tradition block-style eyebrow shape and are creating eyebrows in the shape of waves. Rather than plucking out their eyebrows, makeup artists are using tools such as Elmer’s glue, concealer, gel eyeliner, and brow pomade to create this unique look.
What does a brow expert think of this new trend? Well, Tonya Crooks, founder of The BrowGal, said, “I try to stay away from brow trends due to the fact that brows are a timeless asset to the face. Everyone has a blueprint shape to fit his or her face according to his or her facial structure. Brow trends are great for editorial, red carpet, or Instagram etc., but for everyday I would avoid them.”
But creator of the feathered brow look, makeup artist Stella Sironen, said, “There is lip art and eye art and tons of different forms of creative makeup, why is experimenting with brows so strange?” So, what do you think? Are the new squiggle eyebrows for YOU?
