The 90s were a fun decade for fashion. With grunge and hip-hop music came the grunge and goth looks: dark lipsticks and hair styles, baggy and ripped clothes, and color-blocking. Later in the decade when pop music dominated the airwaves, fashion lightened up, too. We saw textured and highlighted hair, strange hair accessories, brighter makeup, and denim as low as they could go. Now that it’s been 15 years since the decade has officially ended (where did that time go?), 90s fashion has been making its way back onto the runway, our celebrities, and in our closets. Here are some of the trends that we love that are making a comeback.
Overalls are by far my favorite fashion comeback from the 90s! Overalls can be dressed up or down depending on how you accessorize them. To bring this trend in to the 21st century, make sure you choose a denim wash instead of crazy colors and make sure they’re slim-fit. Paired with Converse, a vintage band tee, and red lipstick, you have an easy go-to casual look. Overalls also come in various designs and lengths, so they can be worn all year long!
