Ways to Dress to Hide Cellulite

Cellulite is one skin condition no woman ever wants to have. After all, those dimples in your thighs can take away your confidence and make you feel self-conscious.

While there are plenty of ways to get rid of cellulite, most of these techniques will take a long time to take effect. As you wait for these techniques to take effect, you may want to find ways to conceal cellulite on a daily basis.

If that’s the case, it will all depend on the way you dress. Lucky for you, we have a few tips on how you can dress to look slim and hide that cellulite.

  1. Wear Prints

Many women think that playing it safe is an ideal way to conceal cellulite. That’s why many of them would opt for simple, solid-colored clothes. Sad to say though, bold and lighter shades may make cellulite more visible. Because of this, it would be best that you opt for colorful, small eye-catching prints. The prints may detract the attention from your thighs.

  1. Opt for High-Heeled Shoes

While flats are comfortable to wear, high heeled shoes, or even wedges, are more recommended. This is because these shoe types can elongate your legs and make you look taller and, therefore, slimmer. Plus, it will also give you a confidence boost!

  1. Choose the Right Dress Length

Yes, you can still wear a dress even if you’re not proud of your thighs. The key here is to find the right length. Make sure that the dress will be long enough to cover the parts of your legs that have cellulite.

  1. Dress in All Black

There is no denying the fact that black is your best friend when you are trying to look slim. Aside from the fact that it can be flattering for all body types, it can also smooth the unevenness in the bum and hip areas.

  1. Put on a Long Cardigan

Many experts advise that you wear capri pants or square pants instead of shorts when concealing cellulite. However, these alternatives tend to make people look larger. What we advise is to go for the shorts. Then just simply layer it under a long cardigan. Aside from concealing your thighs, a long cardigan can also shorten your upper body and elongate your lower body.

  1. Wear Shapewear

If you are worried that your dimpled skin will show through your clothes, the best thing that you can do is to wear shapewear. Most body shapers will provide coverage from your stomach up to your thigh area, so you will not have any problems with your cellulite!

  1. Choose Airy and Light Fabrics

When you are trying to hide a problem area, tight-fitting fabrics are not the best idea. Instead, opt for light fabrics that will not cling to your skin. Just make sure that the clothes are not too loose, as wearing too-loose clothes can make you look bigger than you really are.

  1. Wear a Belt

If you are not confident wearing tight-fitting clothes (we get that!), the best thing that you can do is opt for a dress that is a bit loose. To help you achieve a slimmer silhouette while wearing a loose dress, cinch a belt around your waist. It will help create an hourglass figure that will be flattering to you without showing off your cellulite.

  1. Wear an Overlap Dress

If you are not comfortable wearing a belt because of your hips, the next best thing that you can take advantage of is an overlap dress. Have you ever noticed that most pregnant women opt for this type of dress? Well, that’s because it is amazing at hiding curves. Plus, it has a V neckline that can make you look slimmer.

  1. Wear Flared Pants

When it comes to cellulite, wearing tight jeans is a big no no. But if you are a jeans lover, you can still wear flared jeans! The volume at the ankle can flatter your figure and make you look thinner. The good news is, the flared pants has come back in style!

Cellulite is nothing to be ashamed of, but it can be easily covered if you’d like to keep it under wraps. With the right outfit, you can certainly look slim and feel more confident in no time!
